Organisation of FuncFiber Print E-mail
FuncFiber is organized around the most recognized Swedish research environments in the field of wood biology, wood fiber ultrastructure and wood biotechnology; Umeå Plant Science Centre (UPSC), the Department of Chemistry at Umeå University, the Department of Wood Science at SLU in Uppsala (Wood Ultrastructure Research Centre – WURC) and the Department of Wood Biotechnology at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH). The organisation of FuncFiber is shown in the figure below. Several initiatives will be taken to manage and integrate the scientific work and to support the interaction with external collaborators, e.g. scientific workshops will be held each year. Four of the external collaborators will make up the scientific advisory board.
